1.
Clean and dry the upper and lower radius arms on both sides of the machine
before installing RAD Covers to insure a proper fit.
2.
Paint over any bare metal or rusty spots before installing covers
to prevent oxidation of metal.
3.
Determine the length of the RAD Covers for the upper and lower radius
arms. The SHORTER RAD Covers go on the upper radius arms and the LONGER
RAD Covers go on the LOWER radius arms. The upper and lower RAD Covers
are the same for left and right sides of the machine.
NOTE:
The lower radius arm is larger in diameter than the upper arm so it
is important to put the covers on the right arms. The lower arm is
also exposed more, so the lower RAD Cover is longer than the upper
RAD Cover.
4.
Set the RAD Cover over the radius arm and snap it down into place
with the tab over the outer end of the radius arm to insure proper
placement without movement or rotation of the RAD Cover.
NOTE:
The RAD Covers must be at least 50 0 F. This will make
installation easier. If it is cold, warm the RAD Covers with a hair
dryer or equivalent.
|
WARNING:
Use no tools. The RAD Covers should be installed by hand
only.
NOTICE:
The anti-rotational tab is designed only for lateral pressure.
Do not attempt to push or pull on the tab during installation or removal
of the RAD Covers.

Attention
Skid Plate users:
Be sure to check and remove any snow or ice build-up from the bulkhead
and skidplate area before and after each ride.
Optional
mounting ways:
The lower RAD Cover can be mounted upside down or from the front to
give more protection. For sleds with jam nut on the outside, the RAD
Cover can be flipped over so the flat edge is against the jam nut
(tab to the inside).
